More nonsense smears courtesy of The Huffington Post

So there's been another violent incident at the hands of another person who disapproves of the government, and leave it to The Huffington Post's kaffleklatch political bloggers to blame PEACE-PROMOTING individuals for supposedly bringing it on.

This slimy quote is from the comments section of this (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/03/04/pentagon-lockdown-metro-s_n_486578.html) article:

"a 30 sec search last PM found J.Patrick Bedell on face book. Here are two sites linked to this guys face book page. A look at the Rockwell site finds references to Ron Paul, Gary North. Glenn Beck, kill the Fed, and a book describing how anarchism will work. Just in case, you never heard of North-- a few links to him too. Lew Rockwell is director of the Mises Institute. The pages are loaded with conspiracy theories, tethers, IMF, the Fed, secessionists, don't invest in gold--brass and lead are better.
Nice to know these organizations are out there rallying the crazies"

First of all, the Mises Institute does not endorse 9/11 conspiracy theories, nor does anyone at the Institute believe them. At all. No one at the Institute is a fan of Glenn Beck. There is, however, some overlap in individuals who may watch Beck and have tuned into the Mises Institute after seeing someone like Tom Woods on the program.

So what other "conspiracy theories" is this kaffleklatcher referring to? Probably stuff like the origins of the Federal Reserve at the hand of corrupt banks. Sorry, that's not a conspiracy theory: that's documented historical fact. The IMF? Whoever ISN'T complaining about the IMF IS insane and extremely promotive of violence. As a matter of fact, it's the IMF that has caused so much of the third-world misery that these idiots blame capitalism for. Misery that came under the threat of violence much larger in scope.

And he cites as evidence of Bedell's craziness by one of the web link's posting of "a book describing how anarchism would work." Excuse me for being too ignorant to understand how a philosophy of peaceful cooperation and a voluntary society is somehow supposed to be proof that someone is a violent crazy. He also cites a pro "brass and lead" banner, the type of banner that is put up by individuals who support 2nd Amendment rights. Thousands of them have that up. ONE goes on a shooting spree. And THAT is supposed to imply that those who have that banner are dangerous? That's the same deranged correlation-not-causation logic that led frantic parents to blame DOOM for causing the Columbine killings. And an anti-Fed banner is the pinnacle of pro-peace signage. It is the Fed that has been funding the wars and various measures over the years that have increased the control of government over peoples' lives. Which one is more conducive to violence?

Lew Rockwell, Ron Paul, and Gary North have never promoted violence. On the contrary, their entire philosophy is predicted on the non-aggression principle. But none of these people ever bother to do a little research before pointing fingers and assigning labels.
